How does VoIP work?
To use VoIP, you still simply dial the number you wish to call as you would with a traditional phone. The VoIP system provided by Ripple Comms is hosted, meaning the PBX element is held in a secure data centre. The key difference compared to a traditional desk phone is how your phone calls travel across the network; with VoIP this is done via an Internet connection instead of the traditional Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN). VoIP phones will often have a greater array of functionality than their traditional counterparts, such as HiHi3’s video capability.
Switching to VoIP
We’ll make the changeover to your new phone system a smooth process; taking your business needs into consideration, we’ll meet with you to talk these through. There are no fixed costs or set prices for a VoIP phone system from us.
Once you are happy, our two-stage installation process begins. Our highly trained engineers will visit your office, initially installing the new phone system alongside your old one and providing training on your new phones and software. We will switch over your existing services and set-up any new ones.
Once the changeover is complete and services provisioned, the second stage of the installation takes place. Your Customer Project Partner will be on hand to keep you updated and answer any questions you may have.
